Training Support to Power Loom Sector

    Scheme for stipendiary assistance to trainees of Power loom service centers.
  2. Operative Period
    From 05/09/2012 to 04/09/2017
  3. Who is eligible to get the benefit ?

    Fresh trainees of the power loom service centers of Ahmedabad Textiles Industries Research Association (ATIRA), Ahmedabad and Dholka and Man Made Textiles Research Association (MANTRA), Surat (Sachin, Katargam & Pandesara). and other Power loom Service Centers OR Skill Development Centers promoted by State or Central Government OR any autonomous body as approved by State Level Committee .

  4. Assistance available
    • Stipend of Rs. 2500/- per trainee for three months training program.
    • Only those trainees whose attendance is minimum 90% in the training period shall be eligible for assistance.

  7. Procedure for sanction and Disbursement
    • ATIRA & MANTRA will submit Attendance Roll of the trainees to respective District Industries Centre along with reimbursement claim as per prescribed format in Annexure – 1.
    • The respective District Industries Centre shall verify the attendance roll and will forward a report with opinion of General Manager to Industries Commissionerate. (Time limit: 15 working days).
    • On receipt of above report, Textile branch shall issue disbursement order to Account branch of Industries Commissionerate, subject to availability of grant. (Time limit : 15 working days)
    • Account branch will prepare the bill & present it before Treasury. (Time limit: 7 working days)
