Assistance for Technology Acquisition and Up gradation

The scheme will be known as assistance to enterprises for Technology acquisition and up gradation.

From 05/09/2012 to 04/09/2017

• The enterprise acquiring the technology for the first time in India for specialized application will be considered eligible under the scheme.

• The acquisition of technology can be in any form, including purchase of drawing and design and technology development through engaging experts/ R&D institution and/or technical consultancy firm. Mere import of machinery or Technology will not be considered as Technology acquisition.

• Gujarat based textile machinery manufacturers can also avail the benefit for technology collaboration from abroad.

• The enterprises acquiring the technology will be provided financial assistance of upto 50% of the investment for technology acquisition / collaboration, with maximum of Rs 25 lakhs per process/product once during operative period of the scheme.

• The assistance will be reimbursed after incurring of expenditure for technology acquisition and up gradation.

• The enterprise availing the benefit for the same purpose under any other scheme of State Government will not be eligible to get benefit under this scheme.

Check List
For Sanction of interest subsidy, the unit will have to submit the following self certified documents by the authorized signatory :

• The proposal as per the above checklist should be submitted to the respective District Industries Centers (DICs).

• On receipt of application, DIC will scrutinize the application and quarry letter will be issued within 10 working days for in complete application.

• On receipt of application along with all required documents, DICs will scrutinize and forward the proposal to Industries Commissioner within 10 working days. The Industries Commissioner will forward the proposal to General Manager (P&T), iNDEXTb for expert opinion.

• The Industries Commissioner will submit before the State Level Committee for its decision, along with expert opinion.

• The State Level Committee will approve the incentives as applicable under the Scheme on merit. The unit as well as DIC will be informed the SLC decision within 7 days after approval of minutes of the Committee meeting.
